    Hi Brad, nothing stands out to me as being suspicious for why you are not able to receive data. Can the unit send/receive data at all on other connections? For instance, can K2 send/receive data if you use your phone as a hotspot or connect to a different network entirely?

    Hey Ali, Yes. My unit will download routes and upload workouts while connected to my network mentioned above, but will not download the update file.

    The only way to download the update file, it to connect to my phones hot spot.

    Bizarre. No issues with any other device on my network except the K2 and update file... "Download Failed" error.

    Hey Brad, it is quite surprising to hear that you can download the routes and upload the workouts but you can not download the update on your unit.

    Don't worry, I have taken this to our Hardware team and will get back to you once I have the update from them.

    Meanwhile, have you tried resetting your unit and seeing if it still does not download the update? Also, did you try connecting your unit to other mobile spots to see the unit takes the update?

    Brad, if the update is failing over the wi-fi - it's possible it might be blocked by the network security. Could you please check the wi-fi router settings? Let me know if tweaking the settings on the router resolves your issue.

    This is still not working. I’ve reset my device. I can connect to my Wi-Fi, data transfers no problem. But the device will not download the update file.

    Zero issues with all other device on my network. Once I connect to my phones hot spot. Download works.

    Do check the router DNS settings to find if anything from Hammerhead shows blocked there. Let me know if you find anything.

    for info (may not be your problem), on my work wifi the K2 identifies that there is an update, but will not download it.

    this is because hammerhead insist on using Google DNS for the update download, which my work network blocks.

    as usual with hammerhead, they won't fix it as;

    1) not enough people complain

    2) they can't using as a flashy Facebook advert

    I am having the same issue with downloading routes via my Mesh WIFI, software updates do not seem to be a problem.

    After reading this thread I switched to my mobile Hotspot, the connection is fine but on the K2 in Routes I am told "no Internet Connection"
