Features that I still miss for Dashboard and Karoo
Hi HH, I gathered some features that I still miss. They are my new year 2026 desires 😃
Â
DASHBOARD
-
POI lock feature on map.. ¡¡PLEASE!! 😢 It's so easy move them accidentally with mouse on computer or your finger on the smartphone... And there is no "undo" feature for it.

When zooming-out, group close POI pins together, or show them small, or hide them. Maybe configurable with a view button. Map is illegible with so much POI.

Import/export all the POI when working with GPX files. Currently, import feature only imports a few types of POI handled by HH Dashboard, and export feature doesn't export any. Months ago, I performed a test, creating a foo route in Dashboard including all POI types... and tried a export. Also I tried to import in Dashboard other external gpx with several types of POI and only the "peak" type was imported.

Routing over all types of OSM highways, including motorways. It could be better not by default, but please consider routing these highways when user force manually a waypoint for the route on the map, for instance, on a motorway. Then, you can alert somehow, for instance, painting the routing line on this segment with other color different than yellow or showing an alert. Users do know when we can cycle a well known road or not, there are different traffic rules on every country that are not 100% included/represented on OSM. It's annoying to see detours when planning a route, and cannot route the direct way, as you can do on any other route planning tools like gpx.studio.

KAROO
-
Arrow-cursor position on map centred... Please make it configurable, there are several posts about this subject on the community forum... For instance, place it with predefined positions, or unlocking map, reposition visually with your finger and lock again... I don't know which is the best solution, but it has to be configurable por each user profile.

When cycling a motorway following a route, it happened that karoo was routing alternative routes to near dirt paths disconnected in OSM... and also impossible to take (fences between motorway and dirt path). There is no answer to the post I create a long time ago, maybe it is already solved? 🤔 I didn't repeat the route/segment since then...

- When having more buttons for actions on the map, it could be great not to hide the excess of buttons, but only the buttons you want. For instance, the button for showing or hiding data fields is very useful for me, and I have to tap twice on the screen: one tap for show all the available action buttons, and the second for activate/deactivate the data fields. When you are cycling, and specially when wearing gloves, it's a bit complicated and dangerous doing this.

Thanks a lot for your daily effort.

POST UPDATE
After submiting a request for Support Team 2 weeks ago, they kindly answered me 2 days later. The surprising thing was that the first point I submitted (lock POI pins) was yet implemented on the last update previous to my post (version 1.613.2351 - 06/02/2026), but Product Team wasn't announced it on these release notes. NOW, you can see this feature on the newest release notes (version 1.616.2362 - 19/02/2026)We updated POIs so that they are only moveable when in POI edit mode. Use the Pin button on dashboard to enter POI edit mode.
As they said, it works as follow:- Pins are locked while you don't click/tap the "PIN" button.
- When you click/tap the "PIN" button, ALL pins are unlocked. Then you can add new or move an existing one.
- When you click/tap the "CANCEL" button, ALL pins return to lock state.
Maybe is not perfect, you can't see an icon or something more intuitive, but it works and definitely it's better than older versions. You have to go explicitly to this menu for unlock the pins, no more accidental moves creating/editing routes! :D
About the rest of points, I will copy the full answer they gave to me, some of them are considering now, the rest will be considered in the future. I'm happy that all we the users contribute to improve the product and the experience... slowly, but going ahead :-)
First of all, thank you for the time, thought, and passion you’ve put into compiling this list. We genuinely appreciate riders like you who continue to share detailed feedback and push us to improve the Dashboard and Karoo experience for everyone.
I’ve gone through your points carefully and have shared the full list again with the relevant Product and Navigation teams for their reference.
There are a couple of updates I can share right away:
POI Lock Feature (Dashboard): This improvement is now live. Our team rolled out the ability to lock POIs in a recent software update cycle to prevent accidental movement. If you haven’t tried it recently, you should now see that behavior improved.
Grouping POIs when Zooming Out: This is a very interesting suggestion and something we understand would improve map legibility significantly. There’s no confirmed timeline for this at the moment, but it has been noted and shared with the team for consideration.
Regarding your other points (POI import/export behavior, routing over all OSM highway types with manual override, configurable arrow position on Karoo, motorway rerouting behavior, customizable action button visibility, etc.), these are all thoughtful and well-articulated use cases. While I can’t promise timelines or roadmap commitments, please know this feedback does not disappear into a void. It is documented, discussed internally, and helps influence prioritization over time.
We really value the constructive way you’ve approached this. We’re all building this product together, and input like yours genuinely helps move it forward. Thanks again for your continued support and engagement.
Thanks!Â
