Karoo 2 Reboot
AnsweredI’ve had my K2 for several months and it’s been flawless. Today, however, it rebooted while stopped for lunch and lost my ride to that point.
I have auto pause on and have never bothered to manually pause while stopped at restaurants or whenever stopped for an extended time but today it decided to reboot and clear out my ride which was 21 miles or so at this point. Stopped time was around 45 minutes.
Anything that I should check or do to prevent this in the future? I hope this won’t become a regular problem.

I just had something similar happen. I just got my device last week and it had been fine for a few ride. I installed the latest update yesterday 6/3/2022 and while out on my ride today about 10 miles in it just reboot while I was ride. Happy to provide any data or logs needed. I have Garmin HR, Speed, Rally pedals and Vario radar light connected to the unit and my phone via bluetooth, but I believe it was disconnected at the time.

@Ali,
I had the same happen mid-ride, around 90 minutes in, is there any solution to this? Have a race at the weekend and can't afford to have this happen mid-race.
Also seems to timestamp the resulting fit file in 1989 which is really unhelpful for any training data.
Is there an urgent fix coming, this latest update has seemingly made my headunit unusable...?

Hi Brett, unfortunately, we have not identified all of the reasons that are affecting the devices differently. It's very difficult to quickly be sure that these updates will fix all issues seen by any particular user, so we are working through all of those right now. This is indeed the top priority for us right now. We also now have improved analytics to see how often this is happening so we will be able to see statistically if there there is a reduction in this issue when in ATG.

Phone pairing itself should be stable, but turn audio alerts off if you have other audio alerts enabled (including Climber).
