What operating system does Karoo run on?
Karoo runs on Android(Marshmallow), customized by us to perfectly match a biker’s needs. We are calling it Karoo OS. We are constantly developing it as new upgrades come up in Android.
Can I install Android apps on Karoo?
To make it simpler, Karoo comes with 7 built-in apps that take care of all your needs. It is not possible to install apps from Play Store as we do not want you to be forced to have Google Play Services. We are working to have a Karoo App store that will be tailored with Cycling and sports specific apps.
Where is all my ride data saved?
All your ride data is stored in your Hammerhead profile and updated automatically. If you have a new/another Karoo, syncing your data is easy and seamless.
What 3rd party services can Karoo upload to:
